Bed Brigade — Rest in Jesus
How to volunteer

Signing up, step by step

Bed Brigade builds beds on a Saturday morning and delivers them the same day. You do not need tools, a truck, or any experience. You do need to sign up first, so we know how many people to plan for. Pick the guide that matches you.

What you need before you start

  • A phone that can get text messages. We text you a short code to make sure the number is really yours. Anyone can help you type it in.
  • An email address. Event details and any last-minute changes go there.
  • An event to sign up for. They are all on the events page.

Some words you will see

These guides say "team" and "team captain". A few screens use slightly different words for the same thing.

Team, or group
The people coming together. Some buttons say group.
Team captain, or organizer
The person who starts the team and sends out the invite.
Role
The job you do that day — building, driving, bedding, and so on.
Waiver
A short agreement you tick before you volunteer. You sign your own. Nobody can sign it for you. Read the full waiver.

What you are agreeing to

Signing up asks you to agree to two things. You can read both in full, or print a copy, before you start.

Volunteering with someone under 18?

A volunteer under 18 cannot agree to either document themselves. A parent or legal guardian has to read and agree to the guardian section of the volunteer waiver and, if the young person may appear in photos, of the media release. Read both with them before the build or delivery.
